My Exit Strategy

  1. My intentions for Beauty To Go are to sell it in a few years after its initial take off and success.
  2. I am currently trying to get into nursing school and plan to continue on and become a Nurse Practitioner. So, Beauty To Go is not apart of my life plan. Not only will I be incredibly busy with my job, but I also want to have a family and get married. I will not have time to be running a business plus my family life and working at the hospital. It will be a great way to get some leadership experience and help bring in money to pay off my student loans. But once I am done with school and have a real big girl job, I plan to sell it and get a good return.
  3. I do not think that my exit strategy has influenced any of the decisions I have made for my concept. I still want it to be successful and look for more opportunities for the salon even after I am gone. I simply just won't have time for it after I have completed my schooling. Even with my exit strategy, I have looked at all opportunities and growth potentials. So I don't think that it has influenced anything.

  1. Summer,

I am on the same page with selling my business after a few successful years and then moving on to the next product. I am planning on selling my business to somebody I trust though so that it continues to be successful in the future. I understand how this is a part-time business right now and maybe you could even use the money from selling the business towards your education in the future or something like that. Time is a valuable asset so you must use it as best as possible especially during our college years and graduate school years. You did very well on this assignment and if you get a chance, check out my blog as well. http://ghioto.blogspot.com/2016/04/my-exit-strategy.html

  2. Having your future planned out is certainly a good thing. It sounds like you already know exactly what you want to do in life and have a plan to get there. You also know exactly how your business will fit in to that and help you along the way. I like how you chose an idea that has little to do with your future career, but are still willing to put in the effort and use it to help you. 3. I think it is very admirable that you want to be a nurse despite the possibility of a successful business. It is clear you have a plan of where you want to go, and are determined to get there. I hope you achieve your dreams in the future! You can read about my exit strategy at my bog here: http://entreprenuerintraining.blogspot.com/2016/04/my-exit-strategy.html

  4. Hey Summer,

I'm in the same vote as you, I plan to sell my business (app), but only because app- based business lifespans last only about a few months to a couple years. The success stories being Facebook, Spotify, and of course, Anger Birds. After I sell my initial business app, I plan on expanding it into a smaller app that can be sold quicker (from one to two years); I'm hoping to gain a quicker return from this app. I think you have a very realistic approach to this exit strategy and I wish you the best in Nursing School!!.
